ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION SPONSOR FLOODED WITH INQUIRIES AT RECENT “WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S”
SeniorCareHomes.com Major Player at Recent Awareness Event in Orange County
More than 600 local senior communities across the nation participate annually in the nation-wide event to bring awareness, support and care. Walk To End Alzheimer’s is the Alzheimer Association’s largest fundraising event of the year. Today, more than 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease and it is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S.
“It was such an amazing turnout,” said Kate Allado, COO of SeniorCareHomes.com. “Alzheimer’s is such an impacting disease, and it was encouraging to see families and friends eager to learn more about what we do and how we help.”
As part of the festivities, attendees formed teams of 10-12 members for a ‘Memory Walk’ event dedicated to the Alzheimer Association. Seniors strolled and wheeled their way nearly four miles along Huntington Beach’s famous “Surf City” boardwalk. All participants received a swag bag filled with daily essentials.
Walk To End Alzheimer’s raised more than $176,000 in donations, and donations are being accepted until November 30.
“SeniorCareHomes.com’s staff and volunteers were honored to be sponsors and contributors to this success of this year’s Walk To End Alzheimer’s event,” said Erwin Allado, CEO & founder of Senior Care Homes. “We’re excited to continue providing reliable information to our communities here and abroad.”
