1. The fastest growing jobs are found in the health care industry. Many become caregivers for the elderly or disabled, which involves assisting their patients with daily living tasks in a home-like environment. If you are a licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Professional Nurse, there are many fulltime and part-time jobs available, especially in the senior care industry. It is possible to earn between $30,000 and $52,000 annually for fulltime work or even more.

2. If you are a retired accountant or someone who is good with numbers, you can often find a part-time job as a tax preparer, especially during tax season. Note that if you are interested in this type of job, you will be required to pass a test. The average pay is about $64.25 per hour.

3. Consider signing up at a temp agency as they can assist you in finding a job. These employment agencies can often match your schedule and skills to find full-time or part-time employment. Temporary office work is a good way to earn extra money, and even with high unemployment figures there is still a demand for temporary workers skilled in finance, accounting, law and administrative skills.
