My senior group finally got to Washington just after the Christmas holidays. We were there for only a few days, but it was fun to do some sightseeing, even if much of it was indoors. We did the museums, art museums and restaurants. My favorite museum was definitely the Phillips Gallery.

Sounds like a great trip! I have been to Washington DC once before, but would love to go again and spend more time at all the historical sites. Did you get to see all the government buildings and The White House and such?

I love going to Washington, DC. It’s one of my favorite places. We like having high tea at the Hay Adams Hotel. It’s one of our big afternoon splurges. We also do dinner at the Willard Hotel. We can really spend our paychecks in DC.
